CONCHIGLIE GRANDI FILLED WITH MINCED SAUSAGE & PECORINO AL FORNO

Ingredients (4-6 servings): 1 package of Conchiglie Grandi
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 small sausages with leek or orange (800 g.)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 300 ml. tomato sauce
  • 100 g. grated pecorino cheese (or grated mozzarella)
  • salt and freshly ground pepper
Execution: Preheat the oven at 200°C. Cook the Conchiglie Grandi for 19 minutes in boiling salted water. Take the skin off the sausages, finely chop them and sauté them until brown. Add half of the sauce, the thyme, salt and pepper and stir for 2 – 3 minutes. Take them off the heat. Spread the rest of the tomato sauce in a glass casserole. Drain the Conchiglie Grandi, fill them with the minced sausage and place them near one another on top of the sauce. Sprinkle with grated pecorino and bake for approximately 15 minutes until brown.
